Drinking occasions The spirit Wine lees, as well as the disgorged sediment, contain alcohol. Liqueur brandy, or “fine”, is made from the distillation of these wines produced within the Champagne area, which is then aged in oak casks for many months. Tasting This very distinguished liqueur of great finesse will provide a finishing touch to an excellent meal. History Formerly very common, liqueur brandy was sometimes used for cleansing the face. Used daily, it perfumed the skin and kept it beautiful. This liqueur has a 40° alcohol content.
