Style
Drinking occasions The distillation of the solid parts of the grape emerging from the press (the marc), after fermentation, produces a rich, fragrant, thoroughbred liqueur, obtained by long ageing in oak casks for several years. Tasting Treat yourself to a special moment of relaxation and taste it by the fireside, maybe even accompanied by a good cigar. History In the not-too-distant past, any grape-picker worthy of the name could only go off to the vines after he had had his little glass of marc. This liqueur has a 45° alcohol content.
